What is Valentine's day?

 

 

발렌타인이랑 3세기경 로마제국에서 발렌타인이라는 사제가

금지된 사랑을 하고 있는 젊은이들을

허럭없이 결혼시켜준 죄로 순죄한

사제이 이름입니다.

정확히 St. Valentine 이죠~

 

Valentine's Day was named after Christian saint,

Valentinus, who was imprisoned for performing weddings

for forbidden lovers illegally in Roman Empire period.

It's called Saint Valentine's day to be exact.

 

 

발렌타인 사제가 순교한 날이 2월 14일이었고

서양에서

사랑하는 연인들의 날로 되어 버린것이지요~

 

 

After the death of Saint Valentine in Feburary 14th,

the western people made that day special for people in love.

 

 

 

 

 

특히나 동양사회에서는

초콜릿을 주는 문화로 급속도로 퍼졌는데요~
